For the work above we have available a wide range of instrumentation that allows fast, accurate and reliable information to be obtained from field measurement of electrical and mechanical operating parameters. We maintain and stock instrumentation for Air and Water Balancing, Plant testing, LV and ELV electrical system testing and sound level measurement. All instrumentation is purchased from reputable instrument suppliers and we ensure that our instrumentation is properly calibrated to traceable standards prior to use on site

AIR & HYDRONIC SYSTEMS BALANCING
Forssman has competent, skilled NEBB Certified Technicians to perform Testing, Adjusting and Balancing on any type of air moving or hydronic system. Our technicians have the experience, expertise and technical knowledge to:

1. Understand you’re HVAC System and its function related to its use.
2. Field test new or existing equipment and determine its present performance and evaluate the best method to achieve the capacity designed by the professionals (Mechanical Engineer) or the optimum capacity for the present installed and operating conditions.
3. Perform the Balancing for any type system (air or hydronic) to provide the maximum performance for the capability of the installed system.

Forssman’s trained personnel work with the Automatic Control Contractors to achieve a system that operates properly and provides the required comfort level for the occupants of the facility.

ENERGY AUDIT
Energy audits and surveys are investigations of site energy use aimed at identifying measures for cost and energy savings. They are an essential part of the effective control of energy cost and should be undertaken regularly, typically every three to five years.

All organizations, regardless of size, need to satisfy themselves that they are getting good value from their expenditure on energy. Audits and surveys, combined with routine monitoring, provide the vital information needed to ensure that energy is managed properly.
Most organizations already recognize the efficient energy use can not only reduce operating costs but also produce important environmental benefits.

Integrated Systems Turnover (ISTO)
Proper planning and management of the T&C works and full recording of testing and commissioning data are essential for handover to take place because they lead to efficient operation and maintenance of the facility after handover. Any missing or incomplete data, substandard performance or missed procedures will delay handover.

The system employed by Forssman is a unique systematic approach to planning and execution of the work and ensures full and accurate recording of all test data which is then incorporated in the O&M Manuals. ISTO includes highly detailed and complete planning, control and reporting of the T&C works and identifies any slippage in programme or technical issues at an early stage allowing management to take corrective action with the trade contractors.

The ISTO system also involves the Client representatives from an early stage and gains their trust in the results. When it comes time to accept handover of the plant/equipment or system concerned, there will be no technical barrier to the handover.
